A great number of designers took the chance to submit their portfolios in response to the open call for the Swiss Design competition last November. As follows are the 13 lucky candidates in the category fashion and textile who have been selected by the Federal Design Commission to the second round of the Swiss Design Awards 2016.

Stefanie Biggel (Zürich), Elodie Collet (Gaillard), Lucie Guiragossian (Lausanne), Tobias Kaspar (Rome), Miriam Laubscher (Zürich), Sandro Marzo (Muenchenstein), Zora Oberhansli (Genève), OTTOLINGER (Basel), Vera Roggli (Antwerpen), Vanessa Schindler (Prilly), WUETHRICHFUERST (Basel), Blank etiquette: Tosca Wyss (Berlin), Julian Zigerli (Zürich).

Their collections will be presented in the exhibition Swiss Design Awards in June and serve as the basis for the awards selection of the jury.

The laureates will be awarded on June 14, alongside the award ceremony of the Swiss Grand Award for Design 2016.
