Nominee Julian Zigerli is a fashion designer based in Berlin and Zurich, and has worked for different brands like American Apparel (Berlin, from 2005 to 2007). He also worked at different theaters, where he designed costumes, amongst others for the piece ‘Over Sexed But Underfucked’, which has been performed in 2012 at Dante in Zurich and Tuchlaube in Aarau. He received his diploma in Fashion Design in 2010 from Universität der Künste Berlin (UdK), after finishing his studies ‘Allgemeine Künste’ (Universal Arts) at Punkt G Gestaltungsschule in Zurich in 2003. He won the Swiss Design Award in 2012 and was nominated in 2011 and 2013.

What does the SDA represent?

A window to the outside and a great way to acknowledge swiss design.
