Virginie Rebetez, who was born and still lives and works in Lausanne, Switzerland, is one of the Nominees in Photography. She has exhibited her works in many European countries, as well as South Africa, and is still in high demand. Rebetez went to the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam until 2008, previously she received a Professional Education in Photography in Vevey, Switzerland.

What does the SDA represent?

It represents, of course, a recognition of my work and also the opportunity for it to gain a larger visibility. Furthermore, The SDA would allow me through its support to carry on more smoothly with my research which drives my whole body of work.
