LUKE ARCHER & CAMILLE BLIN

29 April 2015
On June 15th, we will celebrate the grand opening of the exhibition SWISS DESIGN AWARDS 2015 in Basel and announce the winners of the renowned awards! In the mean time, we ask – who are this year’s participants, whom to look out for in the show in Basel? Along the next weeks, we meet the protagonists in our blog and are happy to feature them with a quick Q&A. Today we meet Lausanne-based graphic designer Luke Archer and product designer Camille Blin:
Which priorities and / or concerns do you currently face in your practice and how do you face them? In other words – which critical questions keep bouncing back within your work / projects?
Luke: Finding new typographies.
Camille: Finding new typologies.
“Doubt, Delight and Change!” – was a claim by Cedric Price (an unconventional and visionary architect best-known for buildings which never saw the light of day – but who was one of the most influential and visionary architects of the late-twentieth century). What is your claim and why?
Luke: You are not entitled to the fruit of your labour, only the labour itself.
Camille:

And what we really want to know from you is: What is your most treasured possession?
Luke: An art space called Harpe 45.
Camille: An art piece by Camille Blatrix.
