We just moved in – and with us, all 56 selected participants of the exhibition Swiss Design Awards 2016. Time to warm up our NEW house: Hall 3 on the Basel fair ground, where you will find us this year.

Until the jury makes its tour through the exhibition to select the winners, there is lots to do!

We are sharing some moments of the exciting rush inside the spacious hall, structured by the many elements designed by Holzer Kobler Architekturen that will be individually curated and fitted by the participants. Look forward to a great bazar of amazing design statements, ranging from the striking “Shore” rugs by Gil Muller, the “Paradigme” collection by Lucy Authié, or Manon Wertenbroek’s series “Tandem” negotiating brotherhood, finally including the breathtaking fashion collection “urethane pool” by Vanessa Schindler. And there is so much more to be discovered and inspired by! Less than two weeks to go until we open the doors on June 14, 2016. We invite everyone to the grand awarding ceremony and exhibition opening!

Our partner, the mudac – musée de design et d’arts appliqués contemporains, is still installing, giving final touches to the exhibition “Bijoux en jeu” which will be shown in our hall.

Not moved in yet, but coming soon: our culinary experts, the food stalls of the Markthalle Basel, who will be with us during the Art Basel Week and guarantee best food & drinks during our show time (14 – 20 June 2016).
