‘A non-academic designer’ – that’s how designer and interior architect Hans Eichenberger likes to describe himself. Though, during his career, he was responsible for more than 50 objects of seating furniture, including the SAFFA and EXPO chair. Nonetheless, he still had to wait 90 years to finally receive the Swiss Grand Award for Design. But, just as his designs, he is still on top of the game.
