As you can see, Hall 4 of the Messe Basel ex­hi­bi­ti­on cen­ter is un­der­go­ing a me­ta­mor­pho­sis. The ex­hi­bi­ti­on its­elf has been de­si­gned by Hol­zer Ko­bler Ar­chi­tek­tu­ren, who de­ve­l­o­ped the over­all con­cept and lay­out joint­ly with the Fe­deral Of­fice of Cul­tu­re (FOC). The ex­hi­bi­ti­on, opening Mon­day, 16 June, show­ca­ses 49 works by the de­si­gners who re­ached the se­cond round of the Swiss De­sign Com­pe­ti­ti­on. Throughout the hall one can ex­pe­ri­ence the con­tem­pora­ry Swiss de­sign world across a num­ber of for­mats—from pro­ducts and ob­jects, fa­shion and tex­ti­le de­sign, to pho­to­gra­phy, sce­no­gra­phy and me­dia­ti­on.
