We meet the designer Stéphanie Baechler, nominated in the Fashion Design and Textiles category.  She was nominated for various other awards and won Swiss Design Awards in 2011 and 2009. Baechler graduated from the College of Art and Design in Lucerne and got her Fashion Master at ArtEz Institute of the Arts in Arnhem (NL). She was working as textile designer for Jakob Schlaepfer and is Design Assistent / Fabric Developper at Hussein Chalayan. Baechler meets rocks, gems and ores – the mineral metaphor determines the way she works.

What does the SDA represent?

For me the SDA means a lot of recognition of my work and a lot of support for my passion.
